The Story of SRP3 – Part I

This is a story of guess what…no, not a famous company….may be it is destined to be so…..but not till now.

So, This is a story of five guys- Sharad, Prateek, Prerit, Paras and Rahul. Lets have some introduction of the guys.

Sharad: An ambitious and enthusiastic guy, never involves in a quarrel……was quite studious till his first exams in the college….after which he understood that there are other things than study….

Prateek: Prateek is an ‘addicted’ guy, addicted of tea, games, and a lot more things other than studies. Thanks to google…that created orkut and gtalk…its hard to imagine his life without those two things…He is a psycho ….and if u are thinking to argue with someone on some topic, please do find someone else.

Prerit: He is kinda cool guy who does a lot of things..including music, dance, basketball, blah blah……good in bcd and is a busy guy

Paras: If you think that you sleep more than anyone else…..and if you are looking for advice on anything that is going wrong in your life….meet him…..believe me….on that advice thing….he can help you more than professional counsellors.

Rahul: Rahul is kinda reserved…if u are going out and need someone to go with….please take someone else if you are talkative…and seriously….if you aim for good results in exam without cramming day and night, he can be a potential consultant for you.

They met first time IIT, they all belonged to the same department so had a good interaction. Earlier it happened to be RP3 as Sharad kept studying most of the time with Rakshit, the first ranker of the department, but as the days passed, Sharad also joined the ‘non-studious’ RP3 group and so it became SRP3.

Soon the ‘SRP3s’ became friends and now began a series of tragedies with them which are continuing till now. Whatever it be, nothing goes right with them, at least when any 2 of them are together.This is how there life went in their first year…..

They hoped that now they have got to IIT, everything will be all right, but the reverse has happened uptil now……and may be ,…if nothing strange occurs, will continue for the rest three years in IIT after which they will have their individual lives……

They met for the very first time on their first day to IIT, of course Sharad was not there ….might be doing something else……As it was the first day and classes had not started yet, they(RP3) decided to go somewhere out in Delhi…

Lajpat Nagar was finalised…..they waited for bus no. 507, to go there as the bus was cheap…only 7 bucks per head. They went to IIT Gate bus stop which is the halt for bus Nos. 764, 620 and 615. Four 764s, two 620s and three 615s passed, not a single 507. Finally they hired an auto, reaching there, they got to know that the market was closed that day, frustrated, they decided to go Citywalk Mall and have dinner there. Total money left with all of them was 350 INR, but In the FOOD Court of the mall, even a dosa was 90 bucks, the cheapest. Ultimately they went to the hostel seeking food in the mess, but mess offered food till 8:30pm and it was 9. Finally they had to take the street food.

Can the first day in IIT be like that, coming up are more tragedies of the ‘SRP3′.
